Xuying WANG, Bin ZHANG

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2016, Volume 10, Issue 4, doi: 10.1007/s11783-016-0840-3

Abstract: We modeled the impact of haze radiative effects on precipitation in North China.Shortwave heating induced by haze radiative effects would reduce heavy rainfalls. The impact of haze radiative effect on summertime 24-h convective precipitation over North China wasThe haze radiative effect was represented by incorporating an idealized aerosol optical profile, withHaze weakened the convection over places with precipitation suppression exceeding 30 mm and caused less

Yihui Ding,Ping Wu,Yanju Liu,Yafang Song

Engineering 2017, Volume 3, Issue 2,   Pages 266-271 doi: 10.1016/J.ENG.2017.01.009

Abstract:

This paper presents a concise summary of recent studies on the long-term variations of haze in NorthChina and on the environmental and dynamic conditions for severe persistent haze events. Results indicate that haze days have an obviously rising trend over the past 50 years in North China. The occurrence frequency of persistent haze events has a similar rising trend due to the continuous riselower troposphere, providing sufficient moisture for the formation of haze.
